सुपार्श्वनाथ भगवान का विस्तृत परिचय
धातकीखंड के पूर्व विदेह में सीतानदी के उत्तर तट पर सुकच्छ नाम का देश है, उसके क्षेमपुर नगर में नन्दिषेण राजा राज्य करता था। कदाचित् भोगों से विरक्त होकर नन्दिषेण राजा ने अर्हन्नन्दन गुरू के पास दीक्षा लेकर ग्यारह अंगों का अध्ययन कर दर्शनविशुद्धि आदि भावनाओं द्वारा तीर्थंकर प्रकृति का बन्ध कर लिया। सन्यास से मरण कर मध्यम ग्रैवेयक के सुभद्र नामक मध्यम ग्रैवेयक के विमान में अहमिन्द्र हो गये।
सुपार्श्वनाथ भगवान का गर्भ और जन्म
इस जम्बूद्वीप के भारतवर्ष सम्बन्धी काशीदेश में बनारस नाम की नगरी थी उसमें सुप्रतिष्ठित महाराज राज्य करते थे। उनकी पृथ्वीषेणा रानी के गर्भ में भगवान भाद्रपद शुक्ल षष्ठी के दिन आ गये। अनन्तर ज्येष्ठ शुक्ला द्वादशी के दिन उस अहमिन्द्र पुत्र को उत्पन्न किया। इन्द्र ने जन्मोत्सव के बाद सुपार्श्वनाथ नाम रखा।
सुपार्श्वनाथ भगवान का तप
सभी तीर्थंकरों को अपनी आयु के प्रारम्भिक आठ वर्ष के बाद देशसंयम हो जाता है। किसी समय भगवान ऋतु का परिवर्तन देखकर वैराग्य को प्राप्त हो गये। तत्क्षण देवों द्वारा लाई गई ‘मनोगति’ पालकी पर बैठकर सहेतुक वन में जाकर ज्येष्ठ शुक्ल द्वादशी के दिन वेला का नियम लेकर एक हजार राजाओं के साथ दीक्षित हो गये। सोमखेट नगर के महेन्द्रदत्त राजा ने भगवान को प्रथम आहारदान दिया।
सुपार्श्वनाथ भगवान का केवलज्ञान और मोक्ष
छद्मस्थ अवस्था के नौ वर्ष व्यतीत कर फाल्गुन कृष्ण षष्ठी के दिन केवलज्ञान प्राप्त किया। आयु अन्त के एक माह पहले सम्मेदशिखर पर जाकर एक माह का प्रतिमायोग लेकर फाल्गुन कृष्णा सप्तमी के दिन सूर्योदय के समय मोक्ष को चले गये।

Introduction of Lord Suparshvanath Bhagwan:
In the land of Sukchh, situated on the northern bank of the Sita River in the Vidhekshetra of Videha, there was a country named Kshemapur, ruled by King Nandishen. One day, disillusioned with worldly pleasures, King Nandishen took initiation from Arhannandan Guru and attained the status of a Tirthankar through the study of eleven organs and purification of thoughts. Eventually, he attained liberation in the celestial aircraft named Subhadra of the Madhyam Griveyak.
Conception and Birth of Lord Suparshvanath Bhagwan:
In the Kashidesh region of Bharatvarsha, there was a city named Varanasi, where the esteemed Maharaj ruled. His queen, Prithvishena, conceived the Lord on the sixth day of Bhadrapad Shukla. Subsequently, on the twelfth day of Jyeshtha Shukla, the divine child was born. After the celebration of the birth, he was named Suparshvanath by the gods.
Asceticism of Lord Suparshvanath Bhagwan:
All Tirthankars achieve country discipline after eight years of their life. At one time, upon witnessing the change of season, the Lord attained renunciation. Immediately, seated on the palanquin brought by the gods named ‘Manogati,’ he went to the Sahetuk forest, and on the twelfth day of Jyeshtha Shukla, he took initiation with the rule of the sunrise, along with a thousand kings. King Mahendradatt of the city of Somkheta offered the Lord his first meal.
Attainment of Omniscience and Liberation of Lord Suparshvanath Bhagwan:
After spending nine years in the state of hiding, omniscience was attained on the sixth day of Phalguna Krishna. A month before the end of his life, he went to Sammed Shikhar and spent a month in meditation. On the seventh day of Phalguna Krishna, at the time of sunrise, he attained liberation.
